Description: The existing sidewalk along Craven Road – a heavily trafficked road that serves as the main entrance to CSU San Marcos – unexpectedly suffered vehicular damage and needed immediate replacement. The purpose of this project was to replace the existing sidewalk in its entirety. Key features:
Approximately 168 LF of new sidewalk was installed.
Ten (10) existing sidewalk handrails were removed, straightened, and realigned, and then reinstalled. Handrails were painted with exterior enamel.
Soils disturbed by the sidewalk replacement were regraded to match the existing state of the site.
Prepared and implemented a traffic control plan.
High-visibility project located at a main entrance to the University that required an emergency response. Completed all work ahead of schedule and prior to graduation day.
