Description:
Provided new Tactical Site Exploitation Facilities (TSEF) which serve as training facilities for use by U.S. Marines to train on locating explosives and weapons hidden by hostile forces within personal residences.
Designed and constructed three wood-framed urban training units. Each dwelling is a 2-story, multiple-room structure with a roof deck and enclosed external courtyard.
Included installation of concrete slab foundations, doors, windows, and limited finishes. Incorporated grilles, registers, access hatches and other items typically found in the homes that could be used to conceal weapons and bomb-making materials.
Provided power to all facilities for ceiling fans and lighting. No interior plumbing was installed.
Units were furnished with interior cabinetry for bathrooms, kitchen, and storage.
Remote project site requiring close coordination with government personnel for daily access and material deliveries, and coordination around Range training activities.
