Description:

  • Designed and installed an independent HVAC system at Dorm 1356 to replace the plant across the street that had been supplying HVAC to the dorm through underground lines which had reached the end of their life span.

  • Installed a new 40-ton chiller to match the existing in the new location.

  • Provided new boilers and chillers, including all system piping, pumps, valves, and related elements, and a new DDC control panel in the mechanical room.

  • The current Dorm 1356 office was demolished to accommodate the new mechanical room, including electrical and mechanical systems and all finishes. Installed FRP panels on the interior of the mechanical room walls, and new metal doors.

  • Installed new linear concrete utility vaults for the new chiller line sets, an exterior concrete pad between Dorm 1355 & 1356, and equipment pads for the boilers.

  • Constructed two masonry sidewalls at the exterior chiller pad to match the existing adjacent construction.
