Description:

• Preparation of a site to place a C-130 Hercules static display at the Base. 

• Consisted of leveling the area for the display, constructing a slab, lighting the site, installing static display sign, and constructing an ADA-compliant sidewalk. Lighting for the static display was installed to match that of existing static displays on the Base.

• A portion of the project was on a fast-track schedule for roughly four weeks, during which time crews worked 7 days per week so that the site could be ready to accept the C-130 aircraft prior to the scheduled Air Show.

• Civil and structural engineering included preparation of the grading plan, site plan, segmental retaining wall and wall drainage system plans and specifications, and plans and calculations for the foundation and slab on grade.

• Included installation of a brick sign across from the C-130 Static Display, facing the highway, using masonry consistent with that of the Educational Center building. Provided spotlights and landscaping around the new sign.
