Description of Project: The purpose of this project was to ready the Coronado building’s 7,200-SF second floor suite for occupancy by the NROTC program. Key features:

  • Renovated the existing restroom and expanded the restroom footprint to include locker and shower rooms.

  • Disciplines included demolition, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, doors and hardware, floor and wall tile, painting, and various specialties including countertops, lockers, benches, partitions, and accessories.

  • Included a flagpole relocation, electronic access controls, and finish upgrades throughout the second-floor suite including new flooring and painting of the hallway and classrooms.

  • Coordinated closely with the University, A/E firm, and subcontractors to accommodate design changes that occurred during performance.

  • Project was performed during the summer months and was completed prior to the start of the fall semester.
